start bending the top over.... you can use twist ties or strings.... MJ plants are very easy to train if you have the time... You may want to try turning the pot on an angle (on it's side).. Make sure you straighten it before you water lol

The top stem looks way to thick to bend at this point.
You might damage the main flower.
I like the lay it at an angle advice.Any posts made by me are purely fictional in nature and by no means is anything I say to be taken seriously. They'll Pull down.
Just train them about 2-3 inches every couple of days.
I snapped a main stem Being to impaitent.(it ended up having the best buds of the yeald. go figure.?)
so bring the branches down slowly over a couple of weeks...
Cut up a few coat hangers Thats what I use...

this is my first grow so im beginning to get a wee bit excited
how much of a yield will come from that big plant. guesses only as nobody wud know spot on. also, is it possible to tie the fan leaves to the main stem? because that wud give me so much more light to the buds, or will this hinder the plant by reducing the light it can use? thanks for all the suggestions
p.s it does need to stop growing !! now at 41 inches lol
the other plant is growing the same also, now at 28-29 inches
i only have another 5 inches and then i cant move the light anymore and id have to start eating into the 18 inch distance.

It should stop growing any day.
Once flowering kicks in heavy duty, it'll stop.
Make sure it is in TOTAL darkness for 12 hours and not even a keyholes worth of light is getting to it.
If it continues to grow like that in flower, some light is still getting to her.Any posts made by me are purely fictional in nature and by no means is anything I say to be taken seriously. anybody answer my question about the fan leaves? harddon i do have a few holes cut at the bottom to let air in but i have it covered so no direct sunlight will flow thru, also this is below pot level, say 2 inches from the floor, so surely this cant be the reason? there are no holes at all from that height up as the exhaust hole is covered with pipe from the fan. thanks for the help don

If you tie the fan leaves to the main stem to provide more light to the flowers, you are simply going to have less room for flowers to bud.
That is not an option...so forget that.
My fan leaves are huge now cuz of the heat...but there is nothing I can do.
What I have done however, is added yet another fan to blow on just the main kola and the fan leaves are constantly fluttering around, exposing the flowers to the light to help.
I have heard of people CUTTING the fan leaves in HALF but I have no experience in this personally and have been tempted to try this on a select bud or two to experiment...
As for your DARKNESS...
The rule remains...any and all light, regardless of where it originates, will reduce flowering and keep the plant in either a semi-veg or full veg state.
The best way to test, is to climb into your closet and see ifyou can see ANY light. Any light at all.
If you can see it, your plant can see it too, and will continue to grow towards that light and the plant will produce very little flower hormones.
Finally, if your are using a blanket to provide your darkness...I have to wonder about air intake volume.
But thats another issue for another day
Any light at all will frustrate both you and your plant.
Good luck.
HARD ON (not Don)

the flowers are growing at a faster rate now. i went ahead and tied the leaves loosly to the stem, using a wide circle of wire, which doesnt hold the leaf close to the stem and is working for now until the floral growth gets bigger. growth has literally stopped now, at 42 inches. i havnt tried putting them outside. btw, this is in a cupboard 3.5x3.5x7.5 which has concrete block walls and a wooden firedoor. the firedoor has 5 inch holes drilled thru 2 inches from the bottom, there covered with bug mesh. i then have a 4 inch hole which has the same bug mesh and watever i can find to block the direct light. i also use a bit of ply to block the light from the small holes. if any light does get in i think it wud be so little none wud get at the leaves. ive started my bending, on my younger plants as there in a nft res and the stems are only 6 inches from each other when seedlings, so im pulling them to 1 side. will this hurt the plant in anyway? thanks for the help and suggestions
