Same shit happened to my buddy a week or two ago... only his bowl was the one that got stolen. It was a real nice sherlock too, god I loved that bowl. Anyways the kid who bought it ended up getting in a car accident, and the police took it.

... whoever said something about karma... dead on. It doesn't mean your going to lose your piece... just saying, thats fucking dick if you know whos it might be. I'd probobly go to the guy who it was stolen from explain the situation, explain how you don't want to be had, and say you want him to have his rightful piece, without losing to much money. Tell him for $10 he can have his piece back. I'd pay twice the orginal price to get my bowl back, just because there is a bond that happens, theres history. I would def pay $10 for a stolen piece to make its way back to me. If he doesn't feels its worth while, than its his decision. You gave him the opportunity to get it back... he refused.
