Light cycle change at end of flowering?

I've heard from more than one source that you should shorten the 12/12 cycle during the last week or two of flowering (to simulate the shorter days).

Is this acceptable, and to what do you shorten it ... 10/14?

If you shorten it up to 10/14, it is said you will produce more resin, and, speed up the final process. However, it may cost you one week worth of yield.

    (HOWEVER MUCH THAT IS)

I intend to leave my bitches and whores on 12/12 until the final 48 hours when I will leave them in total darkness.

THC production increases during the dark and lessens during the light.

This 48 hour dark period is designed to both increase resin production and THC content.

    Thats my .07 cents.

Man, decisions, decisions ... I kicked it back to 11/13 and will try your darkness for the last 48 hours.

If anyone else checks in, also curious when you cut off your ferts and water. I think I've got about 1 week left, so I was just going to give em one last diluted dose of fert later tonite

I wouldnt fert them any further.

I'd water as usual then flush at least twice this week.
