    Glass Pipe Cleaning

What's the most quick/effective way of cleaning a glass pipe.
I've been waiting [what seems like too long] for 420 cleaner.
    Hasn't shown up yet.

    Spray or...soak it in what?

    Thanks.

rubbing alchohol and salt does the trick...don't use cleaning products. You can use really hot or boiling water to get some gunk out and then in a separate container mix some regular rubbing alcohol and some non iodized salt (you can use vodka and regular salt too sometimes..) and then shake vigorously..but be careful obviously. If it's really dirty you can soak it for a bit first with hot water (that loosens the grime) and then use the alcohol-salt mix to clean it.
I appreciate the herb you brought for me, Natty Dreadlock. -Black Uhuru :rasta:

What I've always done to clean my pipe is take warm water and some uncooked rice. Put some rice and water in your pipe, and shake vigorously. The rice should scrub against the inside of the pipe, getting it squeaky clean. Also, you can buy some nailpolish remover, it basically dissolves resin. I put my pipe in a glass of nailpolish remover for 5 minutes, and when I checked on it, the nailpolish remover turned from clear to yellow.

It obviously works very well, just make sure that you clean out your pipe really, really, really well (repeatedly filling it with warm water, shaking it, and emptying it out works wonders) if you use nailpolish remover. It'd probably kill you if you smoked it.

just use rubbing alcohol cause if you use the nail polish i doubt you'll be able to evap it and save the resin

    Thanks daZen.

I think I'd better stick with the rubbing alcohol.
If I pick up nailpolish remover....I might be tempted to take a swig.
[Aqua-Velva is probably safer than nailpolish remover...hahahhaaaa]

i just soak in alcohol, the 90% isopropyl works better than the 70% for me. I don't use salt I just let it soak over night and it gets most of it off, then I evap the alcohol to get the resin and use the salt/alcohol mix afterwards if it doesn't get all of it off.
