Good for you then...From what I have noticed from years of observation is when growing from seeds the maleā??s always seam to grow the quickest and the largest first.

I believe this is true in nature as well. The idea that nature will find a way and gravity is one of those ways.

Think about a tall male plant towering over the rest of the crop. A little breeze comes along and the pollen is released. It falls to the ground to pollinate the shorter plants...the females and there you goā?¦life found a way.

I don't know if this is true but it what I have noticed over the years. 1 in 10 turns out to be female and a quick, tall growing plant. The rest of the time itā??s the male plant that's first to grow to height so it can release the pollen.

    Any opinion?

Just curios what you all may have observed, if you ever noticed the occurrence in the first place,

In theory, it makes perfect sense.

But it flies contradictory to the factor of environmental stresses on the sex of the plants.

So much is being learned / speculated about heat, medium, lights and water playing a role in determining sex. Stress produces males.

I am convinced final sex is determined between weeks 3 and 4.

But I am also convinced I am the best pussy eater on the planet...

my fathers growing skills are very old school and he still thinks stress is good for a plant and that high heat will promote more female than male....ha i always have to remind him to be gental with my girls

i fell that a seed is already one sex or the other,,,,but that you can change (hermy) with optimal conditions

Many believe stressing the plant 48 hours before pulling it increases thc production.

so can bringing bringing it out in the cold for like 15 minutes a couple times a day as long as theres enough buds on it. the plant will produce more thc to keep it alive. thats why hunters find plants in the late fall when theres snow on the ground and the only green left is the buds and evergreens.

Sex is determined early in the seedling stage when the cotyledon leaves form. Light, temperature, nutrients all play a roll in determining sex. There are products available on the market that affects the RNA of the seed and increase the chance of female plants.

In 48 hours before you harvest will have very little affect on the final outcome of the plant. By then either there or itā??s not. If you are looking for higher THC% itā??s more dark then stress. Dark is not stress the same way heat is.

Moving from cold to hot will stress the plant and may have an adverse affect like hermie.
