well i can answer that, it depends some judges/officers will order piss testing on you some won't. sometimes they'll make it out for while like they won't then suprise you with it. whatever you do, do not ask if they are going to cuz that's the first tip they need to hear to know they need to do it. and if you are going to smoke while on it i'd definately suggest doing it right after you've had your monthly visit (assuming you only have to seem them once a week) and not doing it to many times, just enough to get you by here and there.

i'm constantly smoking pot, but then i haven't even thought about taking ADSAP yet because who has $500? I'm trying right now to get myself back in school, and i'm gonna worry about ADSAP in the longrun....i would bet on being drug tested in adsap, but i don't know for sure yet...

if you get a public defender, you can discuss anything with them but just make sure it's just you and them around...you probably won't get to talk to your public defender until the day of your trial...my p.d. told me right before my trial that she would move for a trial by jury and that would buy me a month or two to get my money together...and even if you don't do that, the judge will work with you on the money situation, they won't put you in jail over a first offense DUI, especially not with a public defender at your side...i worried over nothing about court, it went by so easy, the only hard part of it all is the money part...my fines totaled about $1100, plus adsap will cost $500, plus SR-22 insurance will cost me $1000 a year for 3 years, plus it costs $100 to get a provisional license, plus it costs $100 to get your real license reinstated...but my public defender got the judge to drop my underage possession of alcohol charge, even though i was underage at the time, because it would have costed me another 6 months without a license ugh

but i haven't yet worried about being drug tested for anything, so it's all good...my dad went through adsap 3 times and he never said anything about being drug tested...

just get a public defender they'll make it as easy on you as it can get

btw did you take a breathalizer or did you refuse it? i fucked up by taking one...if you refuse it they just suspend your license for 6 months and fine you....

yea i took the breathalizer because i failed the field sobriety test, so they fucked me on that, i live in Georgia im wondering if the laws are different down here, cause people are telling me that probo does drug test u. where do u live, it may be different where u live, bc i know GA is strict on DUI. i havnt smoked for a fuckin month, and every day i think about it, but i get paranoid when i think of smoking, i guess i just have to wait until my court trial. i think it would be crazy for them to test me bc it wasnt a drug charge. but who knows, thanks for your consideration towards my situation man, be easy....

wouldnt it depend on why youre on probation? Why would you need drug tests for a DUI? Ive never had this problem(knock on wood...)so maybe im ignorant to the process...

i'm pretty sure they can order manditory piss tests for any reason should you be on probation....like i said before i'm pretty sure it just all depends on the judge/PO

they didn't even put me on probation, unless by probation you mean suspending your license, which is not technically probation, and you won't get drug tested just because your license is suspended, i live in SC so it shouldn't be much different than GA

i would only worry about getting drug tested when you take ADSAP, and i can't be 100% sure that they'll drug test you then, otherwise, you're not getting drug tested. and there's PLENTY of time to take ADSAP, especially if you don't try to get a provisional license...depending on what city you live in (which you don't have to reveal), you may be able to ride public transport buses to places if you need to go somewhere, that's how i'm gonna be getting to school this semester and i'm in my 4th year of college! I'm in no hurry to get my license back and have all that stress and money problems that go along with driving a car...all i gotta do is buy a $15.00 bus pass and it lasts for 30 days....so therefore i'm not worried about ADSAP right yet, and i'm smoking like hell everyday....they don't even contact you about anything outside the courtroom, that's all up to you to do ADSAP and to turn in your license, they might send a letter from your DMV requesting your license if you haven't turned it in yet, but they won't contact you about anything, especially not a drug test

man, hell yea, thats what i want to hear, thanks a fuckin billion jadeius for speaking from experience, i really needed that input, i go to court July 13th so best wishes to me.... i just really hope its the same way here in GA than it is in SC, ill keep u guys posted and let u know what goes down after court, and if they dont test me for drugs, im gonna smoke the fattest 5 bowls to the dome and then post high as fuck, bc i havnt smoke in over a month now, thanks everyone for the advice and concerns for a fellow toker, much love to all of yas and i hope for the best......
