Do you believe in ghosts?
Yeah if i was a ghost, i know i'd go round throwing shit at people i didn't like in their own houses (poltergeist sp? lol) but yeh having more than just this life would be great, like i really hope there's heaven or something (should start a new thread for this, but bollocks to it) because that would be so cool, and i'd finally get to meet all of you (great reason to die, to meet my stoner buddies from around the world)

No, I don't believe in ghosts or anything like that. I've never seen any good evidence of their existence, nor have I seen any good explanation for what they are and what they are made of that works within the accepted framework of current physical models. If we can perceive them and photograph them, they have to be made of something which can either reflect or create light - photons. Photons are electromagnetic radiation, and as such, only electric or magnetic forces can create and interact with them. So, are ghosts electromagnetic phenomena? Doubtful. We should have easily detected them by now. We have extremely sensitive equipment for detecting the entire range of electromagnetic phenomena, and nothing credible has been noted as a result of such measurements. I just don't see a valid physical mechanism which would allow them to be as claimed. In order to exist and be observed, they would have to part of the natural world and exist within the structure of the overarching physics which shapes everything in the universe. As such, there ought to be a lot more evidence for them; but there isn't. Wake me up when someone has some evidence.

My logical side says no but an experience I had when I was 9 or 10 makes me think that maybe they do exists.. When I was a little kid there was a "haunted house" near where I lived. Actually all that was left was just the foundation and fireplace tucked into the woods that had been long overgrown. I don't know if it was true but the story was that some crazy old man had lived there and one night was getting drunk and threw a nearly full bottle into the fireplace resulting in the whole place burning down, killing himself in the process. Folks said he haunted the place.
Every now and then we'd go to check it out and one time as we were walking up the pathway through the woods to the place me and my friend both saw something. Kind of like smoke or fog roughly in the shape of a person that didn't seem to disapate. We didn't stick around to see what it was and both hauled ass out of there and never went back.
For years I swore we had seen a ghost. Who knows, maybe there was some tokers nearbye who had just blown out a big bong hit and we just thought it was a ghost. Whatever it was we did see something. I'm a bit more skeptical now but I sure as shit aint going to say it's not possible that it was a ghost.

yes i believe in ghosts, ive seen one before im sure of it, when i was 13 i was in this old diner that was used as a secret meeting place for the continental generals in the revolutionary war, i could like feel somones presence, i knew somone was there, then i felt this chill go through my body and such an intense pain i almost fell to my knees, and then i saw a very dull figure, almost like a hologram, it was transparent, but still solid, he was is knee high nickers, black leather boots, a white shirt with little white frillies aand a blue overcoat with all kinda of metals or something on it, he began to scream, i could tell he was screaming, his mouth was wide open, his veins were popping out, but there was no sound, i could not hear a word he said, and for all of you who think this si bullshit i had to go to therapy for about a year and a half to get over it

Never seen or heard one, but noone's ever disproved their existance. There's alot of stuff that humans still don't understand, so I keep an open mind. Ghosts, spirits, god, satan, space aliens, parallel universes, ..... I believe in the possibility of their existance, unless someone can disprove it.

I have never seen one myself but I do believe that ghosts and spirits exist. Both my parents have seen ghosts and their stories are spooky.
