they would not need to reply...like if it was someone who had not shown up on the boards for a while, a little e-mail saying they have a pm might make them log back in and check it out, then they could e-mail back or post on the boards the reply if they had one. Not only would it give us more playthings but it would help keep some of the cooler people around and encourage more repeat use of the forum.
