Warning Young People the Army is out to get you
Well Hi guys...sorry to take so long getting back to you. I have been in the hospital....MS is a bitch.
OK hydrizzle, likeemclever and others (the very fact that you have torog on your side should send up a red flag)... I think you missed the point of the post.
I have no problem with our military. I am a military brat, my son is in...
my daughter was a marine as was her husband. I am not insulting the military you evidently did not read the whole link. How can you not see a problem with the military taking a kid from his home without his parent knowing? Do you have any children?
By resorting to trickery which they ARE DOING...that is why the Army had to close all recruiting offices and re-train their recruiters...or did you miss that too?
Scarlett is right in saying some people do need to be told what to do. The military is good for a lot of people. The fact that they volunteered is admirable.
but the military should not resort to the tactics they have been using as it gives the military a bad image they do not need at this time.
And if people think they are tricked into joining their heart will not be in "protecting" anyone...including the back of that soldier that chooses to be there..
as for the comment in the bottom of your post Hydrizzle...
Our military has NEVER been WEAK ASS...I find that insulting and in turn it is you making those comments that does an injustice to those serving.
There has never been 70% taxes on the rich...that is more typical bullshit with no bases in fact.
The middle class pays most the taxes and the top 2% (bushistes) pay NOTHING
for example: General Electric, Americaâ??s most profitable corporation, reported $50.8 billion in U.S. profits over the past five years, but paid only 11.5 percent of that in federal income taxes
Worldcom paid no taxes at all in two of the last three years, despite reported U.S. profits of $15.2 billion.
General Motors paid no taxes at all in three of the last five years, despite $12.5 billion in reported U.S. profits. GMâ??s tax rate for the past three years was negative!
Enron paid no income taxes at all in four of the past five years, despite $1.8 billion in reported U.S. profits.
Colgate-Palmolive paid no taxes at all in three of the past five years, despite $1.6 billion

If you are going to post the BS at least back it up.

According to an Army manual, savvy recruiters should eat in the school cafeteria, befriend administrators, bring coffee and donuts for teachers and buddy up to team captains and student body presidents to win the hearts Rating: 5
