It's called selfishness... The US can be powerful, but China can't... The US can havee the power to destroy the entire planet, but if another country has a single nuke, they're evil... The US can have the world's biggest economy, but if another country creeps up, watch out! The US did it with "democracy", and the Chinese did it with "communism" (the quotation marks are there because the US isn't a true democracy, and China isn't a true communist regime...).

The bottom line is that the US hasn't had any competition for some years now, and I think it's high time that another country challenge American supremacy, cause the US is really starting to piss everybody off big time.

Aw what the fuck. The human race is going to die from nuclear fallout or something. it's inevitable. dont forget that we (as humans) still have no idea on just how to dispose of nuclear material safely with no ill effects on the environment.

The whole point of going into iraq was to consolidate power in the middle east. israel has nukes so we dont fuck with them even though they're the ones we should be fighting with if anything. but we wouldnt wanna piss off those hollywood moguls and corporate barons now would we?

More and more middle eastern people are banding together to form terror networks. iran pakistan...palestinians would jump on the bandwagon. Israel treats palestinians like garbage so a "great war" is inevitable with those two involved. But the point is all these countries are banding together and america has no clue on how to stop it...i think a big mistake has been made.

Everywhere you look it turns more and more like 'nam. "Oh the war will be over in a matter of weeks" didn't nixon say something strikingly similar to that as well? that's far from the case. congress confirmed at least 500,000 troops would be needed to keep up the war and trust me...there arent even CLOSE to 500,000 more troops waiting to be shipped off. America is the only coalition country that hasnt honored it's war dead because the bastards at washington fly them back home at dead of night like rats. Who the fuck do you know is willing to sign up and die for a country that refuses to even publicly acknowledge their sacrifice?

this paragraph might be more a conspiracy theory than anything...but id bet money that the whole plan is to take out the middle eastern countries and render them helpless. then when israel is busy plundering, america will join forces with britain or ireland or whoever to take out this new evil scourge. By that time they'll have total internal control over the populace so noones going to be throwing any freedom rallies fighting for the rights of jews.

Dont forget...the Patriot Act specifically labels all americans as potential terrorists. Questioning government motives or their "anti-terrorist" agenda only increases that potential. How long until we do something about it and take back what belongs to us?

You all forget america has thousands of nuclear weapons. Although it would be last resort, we could literally turn china into a barren wasteland faster than they could deploy troops to our nearest territory.

And if you disagree, and believe we wouldn't be able to complete that task, you're insane. America's military is much more advanced than the public knows.

But like the article says, amsterdam. China's growth in 50 years is the same conversion as america has done in 250. We're already living very close to a nuclear age. I say close because even though we have power and weaponry nuclear based, we still dont rely on it 100% as yet. It takes alot less effort to advance one's society nowadays. Dont let the opressive dictators hoarding wealth for themselves fool you for a bit.

If properly funneled...such power could propel china into supremacy regardless of how they live now. they can already launch warheads capable of hitting los angeles.

You're crazy if you think America has no military plan to pre-emptive strike china if the situation were to occur. It's been proven that you dont typically need a reason for occupation or declarations of war.

And you're just as crazy if you think china isnt the same way. Both countries have a history of active agression. Have you forgotten about all the reports of chinese spies floating about in canada and the united states?
