ya, you know when your bong gets kind of funky, but your not feeling up to cleaning it right then, or you just want to smoke and not fuck around couple drops of real lemon does the trick...sometimes more than a couple. heh
I would hesitate to put anything sugary in there just because it seems like more mess to clean out...but if I tried and liked it....

Take a lil Liquid ice things and put it between ur two fingers and put it far down in ur bong while still holding it, pop it(make sure it sprays down into the bong and not up into your eyes lol) then mmm minty fresh smelling bong, minty fresh hits
