Sure bro...here is where and what I got:
Carbonaire Charcoal Filters
These filters offer an economical and extremely effective way to remove unwanted organic and chemical odors. Carbonaire uses highly activated virgin carbon to assure maximum odor filtration. These filters are easy to use and under typical conditions will last at least a year. Each unit includes a pre-filter that collects dust and other airborne particles from clogging the carbon. Carbonair filters are available in 4 sizes. The smallest, the Carbonaire 4 has 16 lbs of carbon and uses a Vortex 4" blower. The Carbonaire 6 has 40 lbs of carbon and uses a Vortex 6" blower.

Do not let the small appearance on the web site fool you. Here I ordered something I thought I could hang in my closet and it turns out to be bigger and heavier than the closet itself.
But completely EFFECTIVE.
You will want a vortex fan which has an extremely high static pressure than can push the air for a long long ways.
The ionizors, and the ozone generators just didnt cut it for me.
The charcoal filters do the best job.Any posts made by me are purely fictional in nature and by no means is anything I say to be taken seriously. How many plants start to cause a real odor problem? I realize it depends on the type (I'm thinking of going Northern Lights for a first try because I've read it's not as funky). Any idea?
Sorry to butt in on you guys. Just trying to do my research before I start, and I'm concerned that if I get 2 or 3 good plants going, the smell (which I love, but I'm sure my neighbors won't) is going to start getting out of control? And out of my price range?
Thanks!

One plant is all it takes to stench up and entire garage. If its a stinker, it can wreak everywhere.
If odor is a concern, it needs to be dealt with I say with in 20-25 days of indoor growth.
Once it starts stinking, it doesn;t stop....
You 'might' get lucky and get a low odor, but once the flowering starts, even these will stink.
Good Luck.Any posts made by me are purely fictional in nature and by no means is anything I say to be taken seriously. I do not grow or condone the growing of anything not legal. I was definitely planning to start small because I'm sure my first couple of attempts will be trial and error. I'm under no delusions of grandeur, believe me!
Wow! I feel like I'm getting ready to adopt a kid! Right about now, I'm almost wishing I could just get a decent bag in this city without having to jump through a hundred hoops! I like idea growing my own and having the convenience and the control. I'm also thinking I have a pretty good spot in my apartment to experiment. But I have to say, it sure does sound like a full time job.
Whew!

It is a lot more work growing indoors.
And the veg period is the toughest...for me it seemed anyhow.
I got to visit the WHORE and Cunt every hour, check on em, move them, turn them, blow on em....
Now that they are in flower, its only once in the AM to make sure they didnt die overnight and once in the PM to water and turn them.
Just like kids...and once they;re grown, you dont have to worry about them so much.Any posts made by me are purely fictional in nature and by no means is anything I say to be taken seriously. the 4 or 6 ?
closet is
7 x 4.5
x 8 ft tall.
want to suck air into this filter through flex tube into light hood then into attic.
would like to have it Y right after filter and b4 hood to shoot fresh air back into the closet? will that work?
hood has 2 fans sucking air also.
is that going to be a problem with vortex blower 4 ft back up on flex tube?
does the 4 mean 4 inch and 6 is 6 inch?

"Activated charcoal is charcoal that has been treated with oxygen to open up millions of tiny pores between the carbon atoms.
The use of special manufacturing techniques results in highly porous charcoals that have surface areas of 300-2,000 square metres per gram. These so-called active, or activated, charcoals are widely used to adsorb odorous or coloured substances from gases or liquids.
The word adsorb is important here. When a material adsorbs something, it attaches to it by chemical attraction. The huge surface area of activated charcoal gives it countless bonding sites. When certain chemicals pass next to the carbon surface, they attach to the surface and are trapped.
Activated charcoal is good at trapping carbon-based impurities ("organic" chemicals), as well as things like chlorine. Many other chemicals are not attracted to carbon at all -- sodium and nitrates, to name a couple -- so they pass right through. This means that an activated-charcoal filter will remove certain impurities while ignoring others. It also means that, once all of the bonding sites are filled, an activated charcoal filter stops working. At that point you must replace the filter.
Sometimes, the activated charcoal can be treated with other chemicals to improve its adsorption abilities for a specific toxin. See this page for a discussion. "

Damn angryjohnny..(still luv that fricking name)
your questions got my head spinning.....i will try to decypher this...
"would like to have it Y right after filter and b4 hood to shoot fresh air back into the closet? will that work?"
they carbonaires dont run that way...IF i understand you....
The canister sits INSIDE the grow room and the vortex PULLS the grow air thru the filter and out to where you determine.
In the event your grow cant handle the filter (they are big), you can run it reverse...I suck the air OUT of my closet and INTO the canister filter. The air is then dispersed thru the filter in a reverse fashion....
blowing out thru instead of sucking in.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"hood has 2 fans sucking air also.
is that going to be a problem with vortex blower 4 ft back up on flex tube?"
With the vortex fan...you wont ever need another exhaust source or sucking fans. These fans will suck better than any two dollar crack whore. They are very good, very strong and have a very high static pressure level.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"does the 4 mean 4 inch and 6 is 6 inch?"
Yes....i got the 6" for a fricking pathetic 3.5 Sq space...and its way over kill...the 4" would have been fine.....
But i am glad I got the six....
One note...i wish i had bought the refillable type....but i didnt.
i think they might cost more.....but i was stoned when i ordered it.
anyhow, those fans and filter will forever remove any odor problem 100%....
And you'll never have to worry about exhaust for heat either.....
They are very good units.
I would take a pic now but fuck another day gone in my life....plus i am on the shitter right now with a one hitter in my hand that needs to be filled...again....
if no one else does, i will take a pic of my unit setup tomoro and post.
hope this helps or helped...sorry if i am too stgoned tgo folow

Exactly! meant to read that way....
closet air will be sucked into the filter then pushed out hose into light hood where HPS n MH lights reside, then out other side of hood and straight up into the attic. Forget about the Y off for now.
One note...i wish i had bought the refillable type....but i didnt.
i think they might cost more.....but i was stoned when i ordered it.
thought these units could be refil'd ?!?!6 inch with vortex gonna run $300+ and may only be good for a few grows
hunk of odors after its done?

blowing out thru instead of sucking in.
problem with this, the pre-filter is not doing anything PRE in reverse.
want this to suck HOT & STINKY air into attic.
hope this helps or helped...sorry if i am too stgoned tgo folow
