3 feet wide
1.5 feet deep

I'm thinking crystal by nirvana. Let me know what you think and how many I can cram in there. Thanks.

Alot depends on the width of the pot. Some 5 gal pots are 12inches wide so only 3 pots will fit in there.

Biggest mistake I made was too small of a room / too many plants.

Most of mine are growing outside now in dirt.

Not sure about the 5 gallon pot issue.

I grow in 8 quart containers, but, you have a total of 4.5 Sq. Ft.

You wont want more than 2 plants in there when flowering.

You might want to tie the bitches down or bend them a bit and that space, while perfect for 2 plants, gets used up quickly.

Here is how crammed mine are...in 3.75 sq.

You wont have much more room than this and I needed more room badly, but, do what you can with what you have...

no more than 2 I say.

Oh, and never go with a sativa dominant strain in that small of a space.

You'll curse yourself blue when flower time rolls around.

ok, somehow i have the same question for you.....i got myself a nft system of total growing space of 4x3=12sqft......i have bought 4 strains two indicas and two sativas....my question is what to grow first......the two indicas are Crystal&Papaya(mango) and the two sativas are Super Haze&White Lady....i have decided to grow two strains at a time, sativa or indica? the setup is meant to support up to 24 medium sized ladies to full maturity.....what should i do in this case? i bought myself the seeds of Crystal especially for this grow as i've read that grown with hydro Crystal produces top yields....anyway, more or less what yield should i expect from an nft of 12sqft lighted out of 2x400 hps? any ideas?

hmmmmm i've read the post again and i think i have the answer......you have lots of head space but very limited depth and width.....practically you need plants that do not branch out a lot, that grow a single large buddy cola.....theoretically you could achieve max yield planting and filling the available space with Chronic from Serious seeds....i've read reports about this strain and apparently it's the one strain that possibly meets your needs....in my last grow i finished 7 ladies grown start to finish into 2 gallon pots....in the end i had root bound but they finished right on time @60 days (indicas)....i would suggest to try and fill the available space with square 3 gallon pots and in there plant a strain that does not branch out a lot, or , fill the space with 1-2 square pots and try to create a sea of green using top44 or k2 or any strain that is good for sea of green technique!!!!!
