adhd question

yeah well i have adhd and ive noticed that when people on adhd are high on weed they act really goofy and hyperactive including me. well, i'm wondering ive been taking strattera for a couple weeks for treatment of adhd and im wondering will this affect me when im high by making me act normal or will it increase the stratteras effects and make me trip out or something?

Weed can exaggerate mental states. I would assume that applies to illness and induced states of mind... I don't know from experience though. Just play it by ear, if your experiences turn out negative, might be best to lay off the weed till you can work out your adhd problems. Good luck, and be safe!

i have no idea what mental state i am in....its not normal i know that much....but i would say weed deffinatly emphasises (sp lol) the craziness in my head.

but i would try taking the med and smoking and see what happens like mono said

Woo, I'm not ignorant to mental problems. I know they don't just go away. By "work out" I meant learn to cope, accept, or find a medication that works for you. If one or all of those comes together, than again... add weed into the equation and see if it fucks you up, or whether you can continue to live in some semblance of normalcy, if that is indeed what you desire.

yeah, i have add, and i take concerta, and it does effect the high. its definitly different, and longer, but overall probally less enjoyible

Im not sure but i have bipolar and the main symptom is mania for me which is extremeley angry,psycho and hyperactive all in one go.Smoking calms me a bit usually but now i am pregenant i cant do that or take medication so i just deal with it and its FUCKING hard to try to control and i cant always i loose the plot every now and then.Anyways when i was on medication the weed did screw with me just in the way where if i had a few bongs i honestly couldnt keep my eyes open when normally i could smoke all day if i wanted and not be like that.It was pretty shit for me just as everyone was having a few i was going to sleep i hate that.

yeah i did both the strattera and weed and it made the weed high less enjoyable as well but i still acted goofy

my little brother has "undiagnosed" add or adhd. its obvious to me, our boss, and everyone else who ever sees him that he has some form of it, but our parents our ignorant and don't believe add/adhd is actually a disorder but a discipline problem.

long story short, weed has done nothing but help him. helps keep him focused, helps him sit still, and doesn't make him depressed like most people who take adderall/strattera/concerta/ritalin say.
