Third node is okay as far as I know. That's where I usually top. I like the plant to be split as low as possible to create a lower center of gravity.
OR Freebird Reviewed by OR Freebird on . New growers, topping info I have only grown once so any input from veterans is welcomed. I topped my plants at the 4th node, all except one. I topped it at the 3rd node on accident. It was the smaller plant all through Vegetative growth but once I started to flower it grew faster than the ones I topped at the 4th node and in a week 1/2 is the largest plant I have. I do not know if this is common but thought I would share this. Rating: 5
