fuck that show, but i really like what the history channel did with "hooked:illegal drugs and how they got that way" it does a 1 long show on each of these, weed, coke (and what is made from coke), opium (and the things made from it), and party drugs. very nicely done, gives the history of each one and tells what they do and why they are illegal... it tells the truth that weed is illegal for no reason! i saw part of it then went to the liberary and got the whole series. and i notices one thing thats really interesting... do you know the one drug in that list that was never used as a cure for alcoholism? marijuana, the one thing that would have worked.

How would marijuana cure alcoholism? Alcoholism is an addiction, and harder to boot than a heroin addiction. With the exception of ibogaine (which only helps by blocking opioid receptors in the brain) no drug can "cure" an addiction.

Right this second it's got the mother of some kid talking about how her son used to smoke himself retarded on the weed that HIS DAD USED TO BUY HIM WHEN HE WAS 14, and then he went mental and had to get locked up.... and how is that Cannabis' fault, exactly? Jeez GHoST, I thought that would be obvious. Its Cannabis' fault because if it wasn't, shitty parents who should have known better in the first place will have to take the responsibility. That just shouldn't happen.

i dunno id say it was worth watching, they never actually said cannabis causes skitz etc cos they cant prove it, i think now though i dont want to smoke such strong stuff, when i grow ill definately go for a mellow-light smoking strain

i didnt think there was anything to believe, it definately didnt put me off if thats what the aim of the program was (which it wasnt)
they said some people are more prone to getting illnesses, which i believe is true, a mums mate who works at a mental home was saying that EVERY patient had dealings with cannabis, fined with possesion etc.
its just about being careful, and dont tell me any of its bullshit cos ive seen it happen

hey, I know there is alot of truth in some of their claims, but they were totally biased and didn't show the other side of the story. All they said was that using Cannabis frequently CAN cause psychosis, but they didn't say that it's much more common for people who smoke responsibly to NOT develop any of these symptoms.
