Got some clones going at the mo but leafs are quite yellow they be going for about a week now and some seem like there goin to die.
i got them in a propergator under a 250hps,the light is high above them.
Is this normal or are they ready to die,i did dip them in rootin gel b4 placing in rockwools there is water in there as well about 5mm at bottom off the propergator.

You don't need strong light to root cuttings (clones). It's a bit of a waste using 250 watts for cloning. The plants aren't growing yet so they don't need that much light. I leave my cuttings on my bedroom floor by the window. Or you can put them on the window ledge or something. You say you have water at the bottom of your propagator, this maybe your problem - the humidity maybe too high. If you soak the rockwool with water then put it in the propagator, it won't dry out because the propagator stops moisture escaping, that's the idea of them. You don't need to fill the bottom of the propagator with water. What is the temperature where your cuttings are? Have you used any nutrients yet?

Yes, the fluorescent light would be better, perfect actually. 80 - 90 degrees is hot!, is there anyway you can cool the room down like open a window or something? or is it hot outside too? I leave the vents open on my propagators. Cuttings do need humidity to root but not too humid, they can rot.

Yea i can bring the temp down alittle so u reckon they can make it under these condition.the leaves are quite yellow and a couple look like there goin to die.I guess i'll just have to see what happens over the next few days.

Probly get more response in one of the grow forums.
your prob could b a number of things .The type of cuting u took was it soft wood tip, semi hard wood or a fat hard stem. How long r the cutings, how many leaves did u leave on .U can reduce water los in the cuting by cuting the leaves in half.Do u have bottom heat.Cloning should b easy with dope.Im with gtc i have had great success doing them on my window ledge provideing its not a cold time of the year.Hope this helps man happy growing.......

The stems are alittle week i'd say, left 2 fan leaves on each 1,so i just switched it to the fluorescent light drained the bit of water i had in no heat at the bottom but the room there in keeps the warm in well.the cuttin are about inch and half.Hope this pulls them back i'd hate to see a death in the family..
