GED
Hey, I kinda fucked up through a good portion of my life and ended up with a grocery store clerk job, no drivers license, and no high school diploma. And now after fucking around and having my fun I decided it's time for me to start going to where I should be in life and getting my shit together. I was wondering if anyone here has ever taken GED tests or courses and you can tell me what I should be prepared for and what they are like.

GED
GED good enough degree i got one and i must say the test is really simple. where i was you had to have a fulltime job for 3 months as a requirement along with the class once a week. its your basic 4 portion test to make sure u have general comprehension in writing, math, science and social studies.

I've heard it's really easy. If you get your GED I really suggest going to a community college. That way you can at least get an associate's degree, and then if you want a four year degree you can transfer to a university and they only look at your community college records, and ignore your high school shit, so then it won't matter that you got a GED, it will be easy to transfer into a university. In Texas, if you have a certain number of college hours you are pretty much guaranteed admission to all the state universites.
If you don't want to get a college degree, you can at least get a technical certification and still get a good job. Avoid technical school like ITT tech and shit like that because most of the time you can get the same certifications and take the same classes at a community college for a lot less money.
Good luck.

GED
I took it, then went to trade school, (got cosmetology license, hated doing it) then went to college. It's easy and if your poor you can get grants and stuff to go, once you get some grants all you have to do is get good grades and you can get scholarships, then it is all gravy. I'm glad to see you moving up, the world has enough stockboys.
