Howdy XTC,
Moore made the terrorists understand,or believe, that Left-wing Americans view the terrorists as 'freedom fighters'..not the cold-blooded,murderous bastards that terrorists really are..that implied support, has lead to more terrorists joining the jihad and as such, led to more murder and abductions. Blaming American foreign policy, means that you do not hold the terrorists accountable and are seeking a means to appease them.
If ya dance with the Devil...you'll git burnt..

Yeah, African Elitists had a lot to do with the slave trade. I still think America's involvement in slavery was atrocious, but no country (even Canada) is free from some history of violence and awful practices.

As an individual, he has a right to state his opinions and views in public and private forums. I don't like his films personally, because I feel like I'm being manipulated with the "facts", as he pesents them.
Farenheit 911 was supposed to be a film that defeated George Bush, and that objective failed. That film turned out to be a 2 hour commercial against Bush, and probably should have been considered a 200 million campaign comtribution to Kerry.

As for trigger locks, they put one in a vulnerable position,if faced with an intruder..they are about as useful as caling 911,they both git ya killed. There wouldn't be as many gun accidents,if the parents would just educate their children about guns and gun safety,it would take away the 'mystery' of guns and children would be responsible in their handling and use. The NRA's Eddie Eagle program,is excellent for teaching children about guns, that and similar programs, should be more widely taught.
Guns aren't the problem,it's the folks pulling the trigger..that are the problem,to be un-armed,means no defense against criminals or tyrannical goverments..the politicians, should always be fearful of an armed populace, take away that fear..and there's nothing to stop tyranny.
I have a frontier mentality,to me,a gun is a tool for gathering food and defending my family from those who would wish them harm..especially for us folks living in the country, where calling 911,means no help for at least a half-hour or more.
Have a good one...
