Well, a single event doesn't mean anything. For all we know, the cops were tipped off about those particular packages. Let's not all lose our heads here.

I hadn't experienced anything remotely close to package screening when I used to work at UPS (preload shift for a year, quit a month ago), other than packages with hazardous materials labels. The system is so automated that no single worker can really pay attention to specific package details (like addresses, for example), except for the delivery drivers, of course. But they assume that once any package in loaded in their truck, it's fine to deliver. No questions asked, really.

UPS warning
Like i joined this website to say to people, I currently and 4 a while now am working at the Louisville hub. Employs a staggering amount of people using up an ungodly amount of resources. The US Customs agents are thick, looking at heavy traffic destinations of express shipments ( 1 to 2 Day delivery service level). They single out all Mexico shipments, southern Cali, New York City, Memphis, pretty much any metropolis. These guys have numerous dogs, and yes they can use them. We are on federal property, the airport. The dogs though, can only sniff for bombs OR drugs, not both. I am trying to inform people it isn't worth the risk, because I have seen them find 1/4 bags and still send it on. They record the info and let it go through. ALL international shipment are checked, ones coming from over seas(express). USE THE USPS, it is way safer, just takes longer. I would like to answer anymore ?s if I can keep just one toker from gettin popped.
