    Your hometown

Have you always been living where you were born or did you have to make a move. Did a job take you away or did you need to get the hell out and leave town/state. If you did leave how's family working out and how do you feel about your hometown now.

My current situation is ? We are ready to be leaving state (ND) here in a few months. I have had about enough of the same ol' My girl and I are around 30 and lived here all our lives pratically. I swear I've met all 72,000 residents here. The mindset around here is of nothingness and sure were finally getting some big buisnesses around here but I've seen this these pictures to many times and dont even need to look anymore. Kinda sux I just got the home tottaly remodeled (my carpenter skillz but the credit card bills are at an all time high now.

My g/f of 14 yrs now has a strong family bond here and I'm alittle concerned but she's a big girl and we're best friends, anyways I know whe'll be back home visiting alot. She's actually transfering jobs and I'm going to search for one. One I cant find here technical work. We're moving out to Bellingham washington. It looks so beautiful but it's going to cost a little more but i expect to make a little more too. I have a precious uncle with may cousins in spokane. So I got some family around

I've lived in the same place since I was one year old. I would never move. I'm one of those people who gets really attached to things, I would get extremely homesick if I lived somewhere different.

Born and raised in a Pittsburgh suburb. Mr. Allie & I moved to Indiana for 1 year, then to Connecticut for a year, then Tennessee for a year, and now Ohio. Nice being back close to "home", and I have done enough moving for a lifetime!!!

Born and raised in Montreal, and I'm still living here, and plan to go on living here for the foreseeable future

Montreal fucking rocks! But I go Italy very often, and I've often thought about moving there, maybe in a few years...

Some of you live in pretty sweet locations. Unfortunatley some of us are born in what seems like a death valley cowboy redneck vibe. It's kinda funny because everyone I tell that I'm moving always has the same reaction, like a "good for you" responce. I feel like the guy with the snowboard but it never snows. Yea i think that's it.

Getting away can be very liberating, but family is a huge magnet. Try it for a year or 2, but most ppl go back to their home area.

I've lived in the same city in the same house my entire life and I can't wait to get the hell out of this suburban hell hole that is declining into a ghetto more and more every day. It used to be a nice area but it just keeps getting crappier. Most of my family is dead(or close to it) or estranged or just not very close, so that won't matter for me. I never felt like I really belonged here or that I was really home, so I just want to leave. I can't because I need to take care of my dad, whose kidney failure makes him unable to take care of himself and I was taking care of my mom until about three weeks ago when she died from complications of alzhiemer's, and because everyone else is estranged or lives far away, or just doesn't give a shit, there's no one else to help.

I'm going to finish my education, at least a bachelor's degree here, and then I don't know what I'm going to do. I hope to get very far away very fast.
