Fan and indoor growing

is a fan a must need for indoor growing i know that it makes the stems tougher and makes them stronger then without a fan but do you have to have it and if so im lookin for a cheap fan any suggestions

Really cheap fan seen today at wal mart I believe it was 12.99 canadian,go to a salvation army or a second hand store there has to be a fan in one of the stores! how cheap is cheap?..........I havent paid over 20 dollars for a good fan ever!.................they are everywhere.
