    Post your worst growing disaster

The worst thing I saw was my buddy, who was growing for me at the time, got a spider mite infestation. I never even knew what they were and neither did he. By the time we figured out what they were and how to treat them, they had sucked those plants dry. We had to harvest early and it was a tiny harvet at that. Watch out for spider mites.

Oddly enough, the solution consisted of buying a bottle of predator mites, which we released a few days after treating the plants with Neem oil (I think). Infestation cured, but too late.

I can top that...my very first grow attempt, i was utterly clueless but i was tryin

I go out and buy a floro rig and some 'grow lights'. but my electrical connection isn't grounded right, so the bulbs don't actually come on, they just buzzed a feeble blue light...but i don't know squat, so i just figure that's how they are supposed to work...ultraviolet or something i guessed.

the poor little seed germinates in this cave-like environment, but i can't see scat in the near dark so i get a 15w floro bulb or something so i can see. a day later i go back in and this poor little sprout is trying to grow *around* the shadow of the 'grow-light' rig into the light of the 15watter! it was the saddest thing i have ever witnessed!

i finally got my head and ass together and ended up growing some decent hydro...but lol, what a start!

All my early grows were found and stripped before they ever got anywhere. That was 25 years ago. This is my first time growing that a plant has actually matured.

I hope that little girl made it

Beat this..........Its my first grow and 2 out of 7 are female. 1 very small and a bigger one, well my light fell on the bigger on 3 times, breaking the main stem in half twice and braking 2 branches of another time. A lil scotch tape and within 2 days of each disaster she was back to , almost, normal. And YES i do use chains and hooks, but i also use a lot of....oh yea, bad luck. shes still growing and producing more buds each day

how's this? it's from a plant last year. i still haven't quite figured out what was wrong, but it started right as she started flowering. i thought ti could have been inadequate drainage, or a phosphorus deficiancy, or a PH flucuation, but i don't know for shure as the plant died before i could cure it.

I grew some bagseeds from a high light requiring outdoor strain. They took long to mature and needed outdoor light. I smoked the whole thing in one night and barely got high. The were also immature

Probably my first grow but I think most people screw up their first grow. I bought some Shiva Shanti II seeds from Seedsdirect for about £25. I had my setup up and running, lights on, fans on etc and I ended up with one male plant at the end of it

ok here ya go...i was growing a polyploid, it was growing 3 leaves at a time instead of 2...i was also growing a regular ol bag seed female that was already budding...i put them in my closet at night to keep it dark, and the clothes basket is right next to that...well, my husband is up getting ready for work one morning, half asleep, and puts his dirty clothes in the closet, however, he made my plants his clothes basket, totally breaking the stem of the polyploid beyond compare, knocked over one of my two buds on the topped plant...

the polyploid got cut down and trashed, and the other plant turned out fine, the broken branch healed after i propped it up...but a rare genetic mutation got killed so i was pissed...that could have been some nice dense buds
