glass blower

recently my kitty jumped on my boyfriends JBD two footer and broke off the mouthpiece. As you may know JBD has unfortunately been shut down, so it is irreplacable. I'm looking for a glass blower who would be able to repair it. I am in the New York area, but am willing to travel within reason.

yeah, but i'd also be careful... ask for his experience.... there's always a chance it will get fucked in the process... (it's not just as simple as melting glass and reconnecting... re-construction takes skill) look for someone who's been at it awhile... maybe ask him to practice first on beer bottles or something if he's never attempted before...

it is afterall, irreplacable (although i bet if you look hard enough you could find one on the net somewhere that's the exact same, unless it was a custom peice and not a mass produced one... [i.e. only one, was ever created])
