It seems that whenever I smoke weed, all these fast-racing thoughts of my worst phobias starts wrestling with my high and I keep seeing such detailed and grotesque images. (sometimes) this happen for anyone else?

Sometimes.

I know that if I'm not in a good place emotionally, I can have a bad high. My mind will just grab 'hold of some bad, fleeting thought and just run with it. How long have you been smoking? Are you unusually stressed lately? I'd have to say that if I felt like that every time I got high, I'd stop.

yea i can get bad high like those sometimes, but not refering to phobias. just rush of unpleasant toughts. i hate it. i just try to concentrate on music, yea music is the best to make a high better

Roger that. Just play something upbeat and try thinking about something happy. Before you know it, your phobias will be erased from your inhibited short-term memory.

When I used to hang out with some friends about 30 minutes away and smoke, my girl would always call and ask me when I was leaving, who was I with, etc.
So then I would feel a combination of annoyance and guilt.
Then I would have these bad thoughts of something bad happening to her because I wasnt at home (I guess her calls worked!)
So then we would blast some loud rap and good moods would return

That's funny you should bring this up. Just the other day I got high and was listening to NPR. They were having a story about the Iraq war and how many ppl died. I just started thinking about those poor people and their families and children dying and our solders, who are mostly 18, 19, 20... Then I started thinking about what happens when one dies, what will happen when I die. If there is an afterlife or if it's just the end... worm food. Got me really depressed and scared. I just switched off the radio and popped in a Primus CD and tried not to think about it. It worked. So the lesson: DON'T GET STONED AND LISTEN TO NPR! haha

sometimes, i think ive lost control of my left hand and its trying to kill me. and then all of a sudden my left hand starts like, pouncing at my face. yes im crazy, but it scares the shit out of me when im stoned. lol

my biggest fear is height n i go mountaineering a lot! lol n it sux when i could remeber those times when you nearly fall off a deep ridge then i get so paranoid n shit makes climbing a pain! n those pitch black holes scare me a lot

I get it most of the times I smoke. It used to freak me out when I first starting smoking my skunk but as you learn to handle it better you can ignore it.
I used to get horrible images in my head and feel paranoid and stuff. I still get a little paranoid now when I smoke but I don't let it bother me, I know it's only the weed that's doing it.
