i've been in these situations.....multiple times. but there were other reasons why i broke up wtih them...back when i was 15 espcially i had somethign happen like this...to t his day (nearly 5 years later) i still think about her from time to time but with time it will pass. all i can say is stop looking for what you had in the past and create new memories and new experiences and with time it will past, but it will never fade completely and it shouldn't. you need memories like those. those type of memories keep people going and show you how good life can be. so go find you a new girl and TRY (i say try becasue i know it's impossible just to forget) to forget about it. just realize that those times are gone. like you said the past is the past. move on to a new and hopefully better future.....hope this helps...
