And you know this how? He completely disappeared after 1970, he went skitzo and did acid waaaaaaay too excessively, which made it worse. If he were still living he most definately would not be in any state of mind to do anything, he was insane to start with, 30 years probably didn't do him any good.

well i jus tryed my own link an it didnt work so if it doesnt jus go to google or metacrawler an put in syd barrett an put it to images an they got pictures of him recently an u would be able to find out if he died an shit ne ways an im not sayin he would be able to preform an i dont think hes ever goin2 preform with floyd again or on his own o yea theres a .html at the end of it

Syds not playing with them. Syd lives in cambridge, hes looked after by his brother. The band arent really in contact with him anymore. I dont know much about his mental condition but from what ive heard hes not particularly stable.
by the way its confirmed that theyre playing at live 8.

I've seen them sans Waters 3 times in my life (a long time ago) it would be awesome to see them with Waters.

u darn brits are lucky as hell, if it wouldve been in the states as well i wouldve gone regardless the state, now england seems pretty distant.
this would probably be the last time they reunite...
