need help with seeds, lighting, venting, and fert
I have a 3'x3'x8' closet and I'm still a little lost in setting it up. I'm hoping that one trip to home depot will be enough to get everything I need. Please bear with me.
1) I'm looking for the best indica strain from rhino seeds for under 60 dollars. Some potential seeds I've been looking at are snow white, white rhino, mango, and original blueberry. I only plan on growing 3 plants.
2) I guess I'll be getting an HPS lamp but I don't have too much money to spend. Anyone know what wattage I should have? I'm guessing 400-600.
3) What should the npk proportions be for my fertilizer?
4) I have a vent on top of the closet but I'm not sure if that'll be enough. I definitely need to neutralize the odor though but I'm not sure how I'll do it. Should I make it intake or exhaust?
Thanks for the advice.JoLim Reviewed by JoLim on . need help with seeds, lighting, venting, and fert I have a 3'x3'x8' closet and I'm still a little lost in setting it up. 1. No clue sorry. I would have fucked up seeds if I got them on the first 3 plants I grew. (Dead.) So thankfully I used bagseed the first time around. If anything, order the seeds, start the bagseeds, and if everything is going well with the bagseed plants go ahead and plant the other ones.
2. 3x3x8 with only 3 plants. I think you'd be good with a 250W but a 400-600 would be good in case the first grow goes well and you plan on doing more plants the next time around.
3. People seem to like 20-20-20.
4. The vent wont provide enough wind for the plants to be in the gentle breeze they ned to be in so you'll beed a small fan.
Goodluck!!
EDIT: For the odor later in the plant's life, look into making a carbon scrubber.

You use Active Charcoal from the fish store. Find a place that sells Koi Pond fish supplies and you should get a good price. About 3 layers of charcoal made up of 5 pound per lay are good for 8-12 months of use.
