Police Say Boy Threatened, Assaulted Officer

LORAIN, Ohio -- Police departments use the x26 Taser to shock unruly suspects into submission, but Lorain residents are stunned that an officer used one on a school bus to subdue to 12-year-old boy, reported NewsChannel5.

According to the police report, police were called to remove the boy from the bus after he tried to steal another boy's CD case.

Police Capt. Russ Cambarare said the boy cussed at the officers and then threatened her.

"Then he made a threat that he was going to kill her, he bucked his head backwards and hit her on the chin and broke one of his arms free," said Cambarare.

Outside, at the corner of East 30th and Vine, what police are calling an angry mob was pounding on the bus, demanding the officer let the boy go.

Still, some residents are saying police shouldn't use a Taser on a child.

Cambarare will determine if the use of force was within policy. The officer involved is still on the job.

The school district's also investigating, and when classes resume in the fall, the boy could face suspension or expulsion.

Police have charged with boy with robbery, assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.

They say neither the boy or the officer were hurt in the scuffle.

You are no doubt,all about solving your problems with anger. This is eveident in the phrases you use and "who the fuck cares" is just a way for you to distant yourself from the reality of the situation. A way for you to justify your belief in force to conform.

Whether the cop was female or not makes no difference, if a police officer cant subdue a 12 year old boy, how are they competent to subdue an adult. Regardless of the sex of the officer.

Who knows maybe the kid does have mental problems, so your solution is to use anger and to forcefully control him against his will. And any use of force is warranted to bend him into your ideal of conformity.

Same thing went on dureing the inquisition, and in Salem with witch hunts. As soon as a person does not conform to the ideals of the popular culture it is your belief that force is warranted to break their will.

If the kid was on drugs, at 12 years old and useing drugs, it is the parents fault with out a doubt. If this kid has any parents. If your child is molested, it may not be your fault they were molested to begin with. But with molested children they all have similiar outcomes to the event. So for a parent not to know their child well enough to tell something is wrong, yes its the parents fault.

Most child abuse is known about by the parents, in cases of incest it is rare that the spouse does not know what is going on, but it is common for them to deny it.

Like I said,no matter the circumstances that surround this kids actions, the actions taken by the police officer showed incompetence to say the least.

If you really believe that a cop that most times are dressed in bullet proof vests and armed, should have feared for his/her life from a 12 year old unarmed boy. Well that should just speak for itself as to how scared you really are.

man... your slow. nobody cares WHAT made him angry, and you don't get that. The tazer is FOR subduing people. The kid was subdued. End of story. Why should the cop put her life on the line for some little prick when she can jolt his ass and be done with it? Its not like he got shot with a gun. Using a taser on a 12yo kid does seem a bit excessive. On the other hand, the kid was clearly willing to brawl with the cop. It's obvious the cop was going to have to use some form of force to subdue the kid. What if she wrestled him to the ground and wound up accidentally breaking his arm? I'm sure Pisshead and Marlboro would have found that excessive too. So what are the cops supposed to do? Uphold the law and arrest those that break it as long as they don't need to use any force what-so-ever to do their job?

At least the kid learned a lesson early and might think twice about resisting arrest next time.
