Try this instead it will work best on a new smoker plus it is a GREAT was to conserve weed:

Get 2 Butter Knives (as thin as you can get) get a 1.5 litre coke bottle cut it in half, keep the top of it so it looks like a funnel, put a potato masher on a bench next to your oven, rip a bit of bud about the size of a BB bullet (bigger if you think you can handle it, trial and error some into play here..) place the coke funnel on top of the potato masher so you can stand there and toke into the funnel now turn on your element to as high as it goes, let it heat for 5 mins then pull a knife out and gently touch the BB sized "spot" (weed) if the knife is hot enough it should pick the spot up then pull out the other knife, position both knifes underneath the potatoe masher and push the knifes together, with any luck the smoke will go up and into the funnel then you proceed to toke the smoke.. you might choke but dont let that put you off.. spots are the best way to blaze best way to save your weed (you use half of what you would if you were to have the same amount of bud in a cone or bong).

I rolled my first one yesterday too, joints are actually pretty cool! I used to prefer bowls.

eh joints are great for hot boxing, but besides that i prefer the bongs and lungs

The potatoe masher is so you can "self serve" without needing another person to "serve" you up the spot so you can have spots by yourself witout needing other people there.

I have heard way too many times that it is too complicated.. but nce you understand it and have done it a few times it becomes really easy.

See my avatar? that is how you should position your knives in the element. The thing on top of the knives is just a can lid (used for heating a certain part where the knives are on the element even hotter)
