Cool Tubes
Can anyone inform me exactly how these work? Also if anyone could point me in a direction to where I can find them for cheap it would be very much appreciated. For the people saying wtf is a cooltube, it's a glass tube that u put the HPS or MH light in and it keep the area cool. Thanks in advance.

There are 2 types Home made and store bought. Right now store bought is selling for 99 bucks and that's a great price. Don't get the bat wing you don't need it.
This is the cheepest place I have found todate for store bought ones. http://www.mdhydro.com/ht-reflectors.html
If you are only using HPS then you can make them with Bake-A-Round Pyrex glass from eBay. The final cost to make one is like $30-40 bucks and it's only 4" so it will only work for HPS. You get better light coverage and more lumens with the light hung Vertical too. ( I bet you already knew that) A reflector not only deflects light it also reflects HEAT.

Thanks very much I was only finding them around $250 that had to come with the ballast and everything. So lemme get this straight. All I do is buy 6" ducting, attach a fan and some ducting as if I was only circulating air out, and run the ducting out of the area? Pic attatched just in case you don't understand my retarded ass explanations. Sorry for the crudeness of the picture.

No...the air comes in from the outside by way of the blower and progress through the light and back out the outher side and out of the room. The links I gave you are for the tubs only and does not include transformers. I assumed you had those already.
