Nobody is "SUFFERING" under British Rule at all, If you paid any attention the the Previous General election, you can clearly see the 3 main candidaes are:

    1)English
    2)Scottish
    3)Asylum Seeker

Fair Enough the Englishman was victorious, but this was due to the party, not the nationality!!
That saves me the bother of writing it... well said.

Texas does suffer, under the rule of liberal politicians and liberal, activist judges..we even suffer under the rule of Bush, because of his lack of desire to enforce the border with Mexico.

You ask:" To those of you who say you don't like the English because of their oppression: That hasn't really affected you has it ? "

It affected my family a great deal, they were convinced that America should be free..and to that end,my family has fought in every war,and that tradition continues..as my family has several active duty members,on deployment, around the world..even as we speak.

I would like to hear what black folks think about the Queen declaring their ancestors to be "useless eaters"...and I would like to hear from an Indian, how they feel about the oppresive British rule, that their family had to endure.

    Have a good one ....

    Howdy Fengzi,

Yup..that's right ! I'm from Texas,8th generation,as a matter of fact-and we believe in Freedom for all..including freedom from oppression, and I believe that the Irish,Scottish and Welsh folks, are oppressed by the Brits. The Brits interfere with them, all the time, and dictate how things are gonna be run. The Brits demand allegiance to their Queen and their royalty, while pissing on any non-Brits.

Remember the Alamo ! Just say no--to the Queen !

    Have a good one !

I prefer to be called English - not British, if oppressing the Welsh means bank rolling their country then I guess we are guilty of being oppressive.

I would be more than happy to to allow Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland to decide their own future. I found it rather strange when we cried over Sadam invading Kuwait while we occupied other countries.
