Stedric, I know I don't know you, but big hugs for you sweetie. Everyone's right... animals can totally become part of the family. My dog & cat are like my kids, so my heart goes out to you.

I'm really sorry about your dog. I got sort of the opposite things happening in my case. My dog is very old and ill, yet my mother is so attached to her that she doesn't have the heart to put the poor dog down. My dog has its good days and it bad days, but she obviously is in a lot of pain and still loves all of us, but I think the pain she is feeling is so bad that she would probably be better off if she was put down.
PS I prescribed my dog medical marijuana, and she gets shotties off of a bowl or two everyday and she never fights in or runs away and seems to get along much easier with it.The End is Near :stoned:

Good dogs come back in a better way, Stedric. Sad for you, but life is a circle. Cheers to a friend...
This is all just a goofy satire...sort of a National Lampoon thing and certainly only photos and ideas collected online.

Hey dude. I know what you must be feeling right now. I know what it is like to have a pet reach that point in their life.It is a hard decision to make.
Take comfort in knowing that your dog ( please tell us his name ) already knows and welcomes what awaits him on the other side. Releasing him from his pain is the greatest gift you can give him in a time like this and I admire the strength you all have to do this. Cherish the time you have left and appreciate it for what it is and try not to look ahead to saturday. I suggest doing some things that he loves the most and treat him like royalty. Spend as much time with him as you can. Maybe even sleep a night on the floor with him or wherever he sleeps. It will make the time after saturday easier to cope with.
The last member I lost was my 11 year old cat bobby and in his last days he could do whatever the hell he wanted. I let him sit on the dinner table and eat off of my plate and everything. The memories of seeing him lovin that up made the days after easier.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. His name is Sox (markings on his feet make him look like he's wearing socks) and he is half english pointer half black lab. He will be missed but I think its for the best in the end.

Real sorry Stedric. I lost my cocker spaniel about 3 years ago due to massive multiple tumors. I was there when they injected him and as they injected my dog he looked me straight into my eyes for a few seconds before his eyelids began to get heavy and close. At that moment I hit the floor and sobbed for an hour. I know it's hard and I feel your pain. The best thing I suggest for you to do is go into your room, close the door and have a good cry. Just because your a man does not mean it's wrong and I promise it will help take away some of your pain. Best of luck to you and your pet.
Sincerly,
