in the midwest, it was usually just commercial mex (green and red celophane-wrapped kilo's) but decent enough to sell for around 15-20/oz, 100 or so/lb. once in a while a friend's brother or someone would send a package from oversea's and we'd have some most awesome nam or cambodian for a while...or thai sticks. even more rare we'd get panama red or jamaican but usually columbian was always around (red and gold) and fairly reasonable at 4-600/lb.

to compare the different era's is hard but i'd say there is much more decent weed around now while top quality remains hit or miss on the open market...always around if ya grow tho. prices are pretty much the same when inflation is considered, maybe even cheaper now for some. remember, back then minimum wage was 1.15-1.25/hr.

and by "decent" i'm talking about the b grades...between mediocre and primo/top quality.
