I work at 9, but today I woke up and it was 10:30, so I need to have an excuse why I missed work. Can anyone think of a valid excuse so they don't get pissed at me?

I'd much prefer a late comer than a no show
the amount of late calls I take over bank holday weekends
I just say, please hit the shower, get the coffee down your neck and get here
