I agree with Amsterdam, Bush is in it until at least 2008. And, I wouldn't put it past the Bush and the neo-cons to try and find some way to keep him there after 2008.

The bottom line is that 9/11 was the best thing that could have happened to Bush and the Republicans. If it wasn't for 9/11 it's pretty certain that Kerry would be president now. Think about it, what has Bush done other than go after Al Queida, the Taliban, and Saddam? But 9/11 did happen and gave tons of power to Bush.

After 9/11 nearly all Americans were horrified at what happened, outraged at those who did it, and terrified it could happen again. Bush did what he had to do(and lets face it folks, Gore would have done it to) and went after Al Queida and the Taliban. It was an act of war against the United States and was neccessary. That's why even countries such as China, who normally disapprove of our foriegn policy, had no problems with our going after the bad guys.

Bush didn't stop at Al Queda though. The U.S.' success in Afghanistan made Bush a hero. He began to use this, along with the outrage and fear felt by people after 9/11 to fuel his own agenda. Suddenly Bush was the good guy and could do no wrong. Anybody who disagreed with Bush was anti-American. To agree with Bush means you are a patriot. To disagree means you are a traitor. Think about it, how many times has Amsterdam labled someone anti-American for saying anything negative about Bush? Go ahead Amsterdam, say the same thing about me. I expect it.

So, impeach the hero of the United States? No way! Most people are sheep, and since now they're frightened sheep, they'll continue to follow Bush. At least Amsterdam is right about something.
