Ok well Da1 can always water then lift the plant out of the container to see how rootbound it is.

Besides, rootbound plants arent usually nice green and healthy, they show signs of rootbound.....yellowing, disfigured leaves, poor growth rate...

I dont see the symptoms other than a slow grower which can have more to do with soil, air temps and nutes as much as a rooting system can.

Da1, pull the plant out of the pot and take a pic of the base....perhaps there are thick wild ranging roots....whom have nowhere to grow....

Sure give them the room and the roots will grow everywhere Bob. I prefer to have my foilage do the growing, in veg, not the roots.

Nope not root bound. I pulled out the bushier one and while I can see the roots I honestly don't think there are enough there to have it be considered rootbound. Thanks for the responses.
