    Legalized countries

Can someone please tell me what countries allready have legalized pot? I know about Amsterdam and Canada. I know in Jamaica it is illegal but it is not so strict there. What about Austrailia and New Zealand. When i get out of high school i plan on living in one of those countries for a year. I need to live in a pot legal country.

The population in Anarctica is 0. It doesnt really matter if it is legal or not cause the only people that go there are scientists only.

I hope you realize AMSTERDAM aint a country
*sigh* The Netherlands however is, it's capitol is Amsterdam.

Belgium is pretty much cool too, they are only strict about crossing the border with the shit. Friend a mine only had 5 grams or so (he already ate the shrooms) police made him get naked and squat. He had to stay for 3 days. Dunno the ins and outs to much. Just don't bloody well cross any borders with the shit.

Europe is pretty much focused on the hard drugs.

It is NOT legal in Denmark, and there are no "coffeeshops" that are permitted to legally serve it. There is an area called Christiana that has been a self-declared "country" for over thirty years where pot, hash, and other psychedelic substances, such as psylosyben mushrooms, are openly sold and consumed. I was there in the late 1990's. I believe that the Danish government is trying to shut it down to build housing developments and/or industry. The police have already conducted several raids over the past few years and dismantled some of the dealers' shops.

Just to clear thing up to save some hassles:
Canada ( where I am ) is NOT legalizing pot per say. What has been done is a relaxing of the law enforcement to allow for more 'appropriate consequence' for posession.
So now if you get caught with some personal you dont go to jail like you used to. The cops now have the option to make a judgement call according to your past record and current situation. They can confiscate, confiscate and fine, or confiscate and charge you. Medical Pot is legal though and you need a Dr to script it for you. After that you can grow 3 plants and hold a few ounces at home.
Our government is actively trying to grow some pot in abandoned mines and has started to recruit growers to grow some med buds for them.
They are still going after dealers and growers hardcore. At the same time as legalizing it for medical reasons they also boosted their campaigns agains growers with new imaging equipment, hellicopters, dogs, and hydro narcs.
What confuses a lot of ppl is the action taken last year . The courts were refusing to process any new pot related charges while our supreme court decided if it was unconstitutional to make you a criminal for simple weed. So while that happened cops refused to process anyone to avoid wasting their time and inviting lawsuits. It was a kind of limbo while the courts deliberated. During that time the world thought we were legal because everyone lit up their spliffs everywhere.
My town kept confiscating and taking names and processed those ppl once the limbo was over.
Now it is a relaxed environment but by no means legal.

It isnt legal in Australia but some states have decriminilized it making it a mister meaner fine. These states include Western Australia, Australian Capital territory and South Australia and I think Northern territory as well.

Here (Victoria Australia) anything over 20 grams from memory is classed as dealing and they class each seed in your posession as a plant so if you have 2000 seeds they will charge you with having 2000 plants in your posession (Ouch)

There were also coffee shops in the city of Utrecht (Netherlands), if I remember correctly. It was a short train ride from Amsterdam.
