Time to begin
So I got my seeds today. Bag seeds from what I am told.
I had decided to try 2 different methonds of germination as I am new to this and want to expermint with differnt things.
I have about 3 seeds between moist papertowels and setting on a heating pad which is all placed inside a cooler with the drain plug open to allow air inside. The pad is on med-low setting keeping the cooler about 78 deg inside.
I have 5 more seeds in a shot glass half full of warm wart and have the glass setting inside the same cooler.
3 of the seeds sank, the other 2 are floating. if they do not sink by morning. I'll pull them out.
Lets see which seeds sprout first.StonedHonda Reviewed by StonedHonda on . Time to begin So I got my seeds today. Bag seeds from what I am told. The floating seed trick only works for identifying the hollow or otherwise less likely to sprout seeds. The ones that sink still need to be pulled out and germinated between the towels like you are doing.

I have read a few places that you can soak them for 24 hrs and they will sprout in the water.

3 days ago I put 13 lucky seeds between two damp double folded paper towels. I stuck them in a ziplock bag which i left open. I stuck them in a closet under my sheets. I sprayed the paper towel with a mist bottle once a day. You can close the bag a little but leave it open to vent. When I got home this evening the roots were sprouted on 11 of my 13 seeds. Give it a try it has always worked well for me. lol I never actually grow MJ my friends just use me to sprout the seeds. Maybe this year I will give it a lil extra try and stick one in some soil. To bad its so late for the outdoor season!!
UP IN SMOKE.....THATS WHERE I WANNA BE. I dont drink....so lemme smoke my pot ...rent a movie and buy some food....hey at least I bolster the economy!!

You can save a step and just plant the seed. Some water and light and it'll either grow or it won't. The pots with no plant growing get another seed if nothing shows in a week or so. I personally like to minimize the number of times a plants environment is changed to reduce shock and such.

just to see what would happen, i took my bagg seeds and put them in a sand pile bout 1/2 inch deep, full sun, water misted them just enough to make the soil moist, but not damp, or puddle, waited about one week, every seed sprouted, but then i had to transplant them as they were now growing in a sand pile.
