making a vapourizer

From what I've read the volcano is AMAZING, best thing out there. Basically its got a computer that figures all the variables on the inside, and when things are just right, it blows into that bag, making the thc smoke somewhat portable. Although after about 10 min the thc recondenses and you lose out on a sweet high. I've seen them on ebay for 540. In my opinion its not worth it.

If I can get some money and time to work on it together I'm going to try to build a diy volcano. You can buy their bags online for cheap. I'm going to build the base with some simple electronics, including a thermometer, and probobly a fire detector, but I'm not sure on that yet. Basically use the thermometer and experimentation to find the IDEAL temp to heat at (keep in mind might not be the exact boiling point of thc). Then keep heating at that temp until the fire detector sense lack of oxygen. Instead of ringing a bell, it will activate the fan which will blow all the thc smoke into the bag.

The vapor brothers unit, is much simpler a design, and supposedly can work almost as well (minus the bag, and the computer). It runs about 120 on ebay, and has nothing but good reviews. It's the vaporizer I'm looking to buy.

What kinds of stores would have test tubes? also, how long would I have to hold the flame under it till i inhale?

best way 2 smoke weed, it vaporizez the thc and u inhale the fumes(not smoke) its Realy great on ur lungs, get some test tubes stick the weed in the bottom and Get a torch. or good flame.

Question. Unless you put some sort of liquid (water) in the test tube. wouldn't it heat up too much and break?

Metal would heat up too much. I wouldn't worry about the glass, after all test tubes are heated in science classes all the time.

All I know is when we were in scienc class the teacher always said make sure ther is some liquid in the test tube or it will shatter.

about 600 degrees F,but test tubes(most anyway) are pyrex witch can stand tempetures of 3500+(bunsen burners im not sure of but i know meker burners[high temp bunsens] when turned to the highest temp runs around 2200 F),also i would just buy a vap brothers,i've read alot about them and they do look nice,the volcano is awsome,i've smoked from one once,very nice but not worth 500-600 dollars,mono you must know your stuff to make a homemade vap like that,or maybe it isn't as complicated as i think,but none the less its not something i could do,good luck with it and i hope it works great

Homemade Glass Vaporizer Construction

Materials Needed
- Standard Indoor Lightbulb
- 20oz Soda Cap
- Two Drinking Straws
- Needlenose Pliers
- Kitchen Knife
- Bath Towel

And Here We Go.......

Step 1- Fold the bath towel several times and place glass section of lightbulb into it. Holding the bulb firmly in the towel as not to cut yourself cut off all but one centimeter of the metal section with the knife as cleanly as possible leaving a tiny ring of the metal socket on the bulb about one centimeter. The knife will slice through the soft aluminum section of the bulb with ease.

Step 2- Take the needlenose pliers and remove the inside componets of the bulb (They will slide right out) then run water into the lightbulb casing to remove any small shards of glass and the frosting on the inside of the bulb if yours is frosted white or yellow. (It's only powder and it'll wash right out).

Step 3- Making sure the bulb is completely cleaned out inside take your soda bottle cap and slide it righ on to the end of the aluminum ring I told you to leave on. Take a kitchen knife heating the tip of it over a stove and puncture two straw sized holes in it at the top and the bottom of the bottle cap.

Step 4- Take your two straws and cut one down to three quarters of its original size and then cut the second straw in half. Insert the two straw pieces into the holes you made about half way.

Step 5- Now slide the bottlecap off the lightbulb stick a fat juicy bud in there and replace cap.

Last Step- Take a lighter to the bottom of the bud through the glass and place your lips on the longer straw as it'll be the only one you inhale through.(The other short straw is just for air intake) Swirl the flame on the bottom of the bud through the glass and inhale. You can swirl the flame for up to 30 seconds before you have to give it 15 seconds to cool down. When inhaling you wont see any smoke but you'll be sucking in some serious THC.

One note about the vaporizer. Do not let the flame just sit under the bud. You must make little swirling motions with the lighter. If you don't you'll see smoke filling up the lightbulb. That is not weed smoke. That is carbon monoxide and you will fucking choke to death off that shit. Just make happy happy little swirls and suck in the colorless vapor. Now you are high as fuck.
