help me stop killing my plants... plzz

hi, i started growing now about a month ago. the problem i have is im realy not sure when to start feeding. im using rockwool (nft). im placing the cubes in the system once i have around 7 roots showing. now before its put in there im using ro water straight. ive soaked the cubes in nitrozyme 5ml and the seeds aswell. the cubes have also had 5ml of formulex.

    1. is it right to only give them ro water, or shud i be adding cal-mag aswell at such a early stage?
    2. is 2 weeks a gd rough figure to be looking at the first feed?

its just after about a week my plants start to go down hill, they appear all dry. there colour goes a funny grey on the high ridges on the leaves, and the new growth appears burnt (but only when new, first sprouting).

plz plz if anyonebody wud be kind enough to help me out id realy appreciate it, and so wud my plants ha

If you go to the General Hydroponic web site they have guides and charts you can use per week. It is very helpful. How big is your tank? How many gallons?

im using canna aqua vega but there chart once again talks from clones. just curious because ive never cloned before or anythig, how long would it take for a plant from seed to reach that part on the growth schedule, say a week after the clone has rooted. im just trying to get a idea when to start feeding nutes in rockwool, and shud i just use ro water without cal mag when there just sprouts, and then add cal mag when i nute them. thanks again

Well, I can only speak for myself. Once the seed has sprouted in the rockwool, I begin the first week series. For me, I have only used Flora series and I have memorized the ppm for each individual solution, per each tsp. For ex:

In my 1 gal tank I added 2 tsp of micro in my tank and took a reading for ppm. In 10 gal, 2 tsp alone are 200, then I did that for each solution and it has been consistant with me.

Maybe some other individuals can help you out more. Sorry couldn't help ya out more!
