Ha!! The end of the world has been predicted more times than you can shake a stick at. To date, none have come ever true. I'm not holding my breath for any such predictions in the future, either.

That was the Y2K issue. The root of the problem was that early on in the development of computers, programmers attempted to save storage space (which at the time was at a premium) by having programs on store the last two digits of the year. This worked fine, as long as the programs could safely assume it was the 20th century. However, as 2000 approached, programmers began to realize that there could be serious consequences of having the computers assume that "00" meant 1900, instead of 2000. There was a considerable rush to correct the problem before the infamous rollover date, but there were still many who predicted dire consequences, claiming that potentially affected systems would not be completely repaired in time. These predictions ran from the mundane to the ridiculous, encompassing everything from minor irritations due to everyday technological issues to widespread bank failures to worldwide nuclear Armageddon. In point of fact, there were very few problems associated with Y2K when the new year rolled around, and none significant

Actually, 666 doesn't mean much at all about the Devil or the end of days. Way back when in the times of Jesus any number that was used three times in sequence meant perfection. Such as, 555, 777, 333, even. They all stand for PERFECTION. Now, the number 6 was special. The number 6, in itself, meant PERFECT, or TO BE PERFECT. People used it just to mean PERFECT PERFECTION. Which is what the actual, literal "translation" of 666 is

That's interesting... Maybe the myths of the apocolypse and the number of the beast (666) together symbolise a 'cleansing' of the Earth and it becoming 'perfect' again?

apparently because every 5000 years there is some sort of massive global change...super volcanos, HUGE earthquakes, climat change...etc etc....is just so happens that we are due for another global change......but honestly whats 5000 years to a planet.....nothing....(i think)...lol

i have watched sylvia on montel since i was kid, at lest 7 years now....She predicted once after the 2000 elections that Gore would run this last election and win.... I thought she was legit when I was 14.....that changed with Bushes reelection, any thoughts?
