Amsterdam Hotels + Local coffee shops
ok before i start i have searched the whole of the boards but the treats don't exactly give me what i am looking for.
Basically i am a first time go'er to the wonderful land of amsterdam, but a few things i am weary of, 1stly is i would like to see where the decent hotels are based with reasonable prices too. 2nd is if th hotel you are going to specify, is there cannabis cafes near by, where abouts would they be?, how would i manage to get to the hotel, is it better to go from england to amsterdam by train or plane??? basically my limit is about £400 for 3-4 nights hotel/travel and about £375 spending money.
well i am just a little weary because i've just turned 18 so i am a little nervous going on my own and etc, i just want to basically have a good time, get stoned, buy lots of weed and space cakes etc. hope this treat don't sound too dumb to you novice people but help will be much appriciated.
thanks alot

You'll have many people there to ask about the coffeshops. People there are very friendly, I think most seem to forget.

By the way when u get there ask about a coffeeshop called the funny people, seeing as how it is my favorite, cause the weed is really cheap,5 euros for purple skunk,6 euros for northern lights, 6 euros for B-52, and 6 euros for scuff (skunk hash) it is the first 1 I go to everytime I get there!!
Try to keep clear of the big coffeeshops like the blue bird, the bulldog, and the grasshopper, as they are mostly for tourists and are alot more expensive. Stick for the little shops as most of them are for locals and are alot cheaper!!

jeez you lot are more help than i expected. seriously thanks a bunch. i was looking to go with a package holiday like thomas cook bcoz u get the flight and hotel included so that would be out the way, but would that be so much expensive? i mean i've read about amsterdam hostels and ppl say they are really uncomfy so thats abit of a puzzled question.
and another thing that is bothering me, i believe im gunna have 2b going on my own bcoz none of my brothers can afford 2 go lol, so whist im there if anybody would like 2 meet up any time then that would be cool, i would be nice 2 meet ppl who believe that it is a safer world to legalise cannabis than alcohol.
thanks a bunch, seriously, you're all so honest
Tom
p.s plz post about my quessy lol
p.p.s if im gunna go by train 2 amsterdam, is that alot safer 2 bring cannabis back by train than plane?A7XMetallicaTaking Back SundayMy Chemical RomanceSysem Of A DownLinkin ParkLamb OF GodNaplam DeathPanteraSlipknotGreen DayAtreyuBleeding throughBullet for my valentineChimairaKillswitch EngageTRIVIUM

Tom - where are you flying from? Cheapest option is any of the low cost airlines from the UK - book very early, get a cheap price, simple. Easy jet, thompson fly, BMI baby to name but a few.
Porkchop speaks the truth (good post man) with regards to the people handing out flyers. Its really not that hard to find a place to stay on the cheap, and between Amsterdam Centraal station and Damm Square, you will go past at least 3 hostels or places acting as agents for hostels or cheap accom. Shit man, if you want to do it nice, stay in the Renaisance!
You will have no difficulty locating a coffee shop anywhere within a mile readius of Damn square. Gets tricky near the Van Gough museum, but just keep your eyes open. Some are big and colourful, others look like someones front room.
Also you probably wont need that much spending money. The weeds good, so you wont need to buy that much, just diff varieties.
Dont go package.
Also, just hang in a coffee shop, or one of the bars/coffee shops at the tpo of Warmoesstraat, and you'll meet some like minded souls, promise you.
