think its dying

ive got a seedling starting it off pretty well. its on its second node right now. but since im a begginer i had to go fuck my plant up somehow. i watered it daily everyday(i know im not supposed to but the soil got completly dry) i started it off on just regular water, then i bought some miracle grow for tamatoes and a few other things. well anyway after i fertilized it(im guessing improperly) its leaves and the top part of the stem started drooping a lot, the first set of leaves curled into the stem. the sprought leaves turned light greenish yellow and it seems all progress has stopped. i waited about three days for the soil to dry out to see if i overwaterd and still it was drooping. i waterd it a bit with a little superthrive and now the leaves are not curling but just pointing down and the sprout leaves are still yellow. the other two sets of leaves are a healthy green color but are just hanging down. anyone know what happened.

Sounds a lot like root rot. It happens when you keep the soil wet like that. Try and dig a tiny bit down the stem and see if the stem stays strong all the way to where it turns into the roots. If you see like a little part where it seems like it suddenly got puney and cant stand on its own then chances are the plants dead. Goodluck.

Why would you even consider feeding nutes to a seedling on its 2nd node?

Does your seedling(s) need nutes?

You know, the plant will feed itself for a while.

Thats what those two green thingys are at the base of the stem. As long as they are green they need no nutes.

When using chemical ferts like MG, you ALWAYS start at 1/4 the recommended dosage. Never anything more.

As it stands...

Ruling out everything else.....

I would:

Flush the plant. Completely. 3 times.

Allow her to dry out and then continue feeding pH 6.8 water.

Trust me...if its dry water it.

Even if it is everyday.

I now water 2X a day.

If you have the kind of soil that dries in a day, so be it.

But never give nutes to such young seedlings.

well i watered it and like a half hour later the leaves are starting to come up. there not all the way there but it went from curled inward to straight down to kind of coming up now so thanks for everything
