    whats the date? help help!

ok so i seem to have lost a little track of time on my grow so i have pieced together the best guess at when i did everything.

[please check my maths out i started the plant under the 250w HPS on or around the 14th of March this year and the plant was probably switched to 12:12 on or around 9th of april] according to my estimates my plant was on Veg for 4 weeks then i switched to 12:12. it turns out that i switched over 7 1/2 weeks ago. within about a week of 12:12 the plant was showing multiple white hairs coming out of her girly bits. after a while white crystally bits started appearing all over the leaves. right up to the present day where i am struck with a bit of a problem.

the plant looks lovely with big ass round buds over all the lower branches.some of these are absolutely encrusted with the crystally things im talking like someones licked them and stuck them in a vat of sherbert. the top of the plant has 2 huge (can only just grab it all in one hand) buds which cover the whole branch from the branch top all the way down to where it joins the main stem.

my main problem is that these 2 top buds, in spite of their sheer size, have no crystally bits on them at all. i understand that i need a magnifying lens (on its way from the 'bay) and have to look at how "semen coloured" the crystals are before determining when to harvest but with no crystally bits then it is hard to do for these "main buds".

my, slightly easier problem, would be that i hear one should stop feeding the plants with ferts 2 weeks before harvest to improve the flavor.now i have been using organic ferts like these during the flowering stage. does this mean that i dont have to stop feeding? or is it the chlorophyll which gives the plant the nasty taste?

the burning question is what are my options?

check out the crystals on the rest of the plant then harvest the whole thing when the bits with the crystals look good?

check out the crystals on the rest of the plant then harvest the bits with crystals when they look ready and wait for the main bits to look a bit more tasty?

leave it until the top bits have crystals too?

throw the plant in the bin?

NOTE: option 4 is **NOT** an option

i dont really know how this has happened.i shall certainly bear it in mind for future grows.the light seems to have burned the tops of these buds (one more drasticly than the other) could this be a factor? any input or advice that anyone has would be extremely useful.given that i have spent 2 1/2 months on this i dont want to fuck it up at the 11th hour.

will be posting some pics in a few hours when the light has come on and i can get in without disturbing her.

Ok panic over the top has a fair few crystally bits. i swear to god they werent there last nite.

the question about ferts still stands... do i need to keep them up for annother 2 weeks feeding on water alone or can i water and chop em after another week?

this is assuming that the plant is ready and it will be a couple of days before i can find this out.

cheers for all the help previously by the way everyone. glad i didnt need it this time.

flush them 2 weeks before harvest. They will be fine without food, get the nasty ferts out as much as pos.

When you flush them take them somewhere where you can run lots of water like the bathtub or in the back yard if you have a hosepipe. Run a shitload and I mean LOTS of water through the soil until the water that comes out of the bottom of the container is clear and not murky. Do this about 2 weeks before you chop the plants and no more fertilizer.

wont saturating the soil like this hurt the root system? I know that plants dont like to be extremely moist and it slows root growth. just a thought, maybe i'm wrong
