pruning before budding?
hey i am putting my plants into bud and I want to know if i should prune the bottom few branches. I've heard that this will make the top buds bigger and better but i'm really not sure.
I pinched 3 of them 1 week ago, all are doing well. one of the plants actually sprouted 3 main leads. cool. also how does heat affect the buds? because i'm really looking for good tight buds, but a lot of homegrown i see is always fluffy. i dont want a bunch of fluffy buds i want nugs so any help is greatly appreciated.
oh yeah the pinched ones are the top 1 and right 1 in image 5 and the small one in image 3
this is finally gonna pay off

pruning before budding?
I think it comes down to what the grower wants to do.
If they are yellow or 1/2 yellow I do not see anything wrong with cutting them off but if they are green they are getting light and doing the plant good.
how old are those?

I take off the bottom few branches - any bud that grows on them will hardly be worthin it, so you may as well remove them. Keep at least the top 3levels of brances.

That is really a wives tale. Most people use the lower branches as clones. They make a lolly pop type of plant. The lower branches don't get as much light as the tops do so smaller buds. If you have side lighting then the lower branches will yield as much buds as the tops do and you will have increased overall weight of the finished plant.

i would leave em the way they are.. you've got lots of space there and there's good spacing between nodes ....12/12 away!

Are there any buds that are covered by your light. Decreased light smaller bud
at the bottom. I trimmed area around bud site and they grew bigger.
Peace
