Actually when I used to be in the lifting programs for basketball we used to have 2 hour workout sessions followed by a practice sometimes too. It all just depends on how you spend those two hours. When you are working out legs and arms on the same day time flies by faster than you'd think.

1 hour for lifting weights every day is way too much. You overtrain your muscles thus no gains are made. Lift 2-3 times a week

we have lots of things in common....I played high school football, I workout for 2 hours about 5 (sometimes 6) times a week....I'm taking whey protien, that is the only supplement i suggest you take, creatine may work for you if you are really thin and trying to ack on mucle bulk.

All in all, my experience with whey protien is great. I recommend you continue using it.
P.S. There is no such thing as working out too much. My freind is a body builder (has entered several competitions) and he spends at least 4 hours in the gym 6 times a week (sometimes 7) bu8t that's only when he's going out for competition. Like I said everyone's goals are different, the harder you work the better the results. my 2 cents
