To all vets...
Blow out, you bugles, over the rich Dead!
There's none of these so loney and poor of old,
But, dying, has made us rarer gifts than gold.
These laid the world away; poured out the red
Sweet wine of youth; gave up the years to be
Of work and joy, and that unhoped serene
That men call age; and those who would have been,
Their sons, they gave, their immortality.

I think Donnie was just telling us what he also remembers on this day.
To all the soldiers, I can't thank you all enough for what you have done for the world.

To all vets...
Maybe youā??re right but this is how I took itā?¦
Today instead of honoring veterans I would like recognize the plight of the anti-war movement. On May 4, 1970 unarmed student protesters that were doing nothing but exercising their right to free speech were murdered by warmongering soldiers in the National Guard.
Read it againā?¦I did.
So instead of being thankful to our men and women in uniform we should see them for what they are cold blooded killers.
Maybe Iā??m just being touchy.
I apologize Donnie if you didnā??t mean it that way, but that is the way it was received by me. I realize the way I receive it is not your problem.

To all vets...
thank you to those who served in the armed forces.
all vets deserve our respect and gratitude. i think it falls upon our shoulders to teach our children the importance of their service so we never forget.
