Hey, Marlboro- understand your frustration, I really do. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with them closing up shop as Ubino a couple of years ago, and re-opening as Hemcy, with a new website, new mailing address, etc.

Maybe they started getting the heat, & try to keep as low a profile (i.e. sending out as few e-mails as possible, etc.) as they can. Every message I've gotten from them has been very general and cryptic in nature (for everyone's protection, I think), but it is weird that they would refuse to correspond at all in order to calm a customer's nerves. Language barrier? I doubt it. They now have a location in England, I see. Have you tried calling them? They do have their number posted - I know it's long distance, but if you actually got someone on the phone, it might help.
