WTF? Why does no one mention HEMCY??

Hey, since Hempseed Cybershop has had a 5-star rating since I can remember, and I've been ordering from them for YEARS...what gives? Are you all boycotting them? Did I miss something while I was away? I mean, Seeds Direct is great, and I've ordered from them a few times, but have had a couple of problems. They did resolve them (in time), but I did find it annoying to have to deal with shortages they failed to mention, a 2-month wait(!) in one case... Anyway, HEMCY.COM has been thus far, the most reliable, honest and quick to turnaround, since I started growing. These guys have NEVER let me down. I always send cash - they e-mail confirmation of the receipt of that cash, and politely ask that I send a message back when I receive my package. I just completed a transaction with them this week...no problems. One time, it took only 6 days from the time I mailed my order to receive my order, and that was over a national holiday weekend! So shit - if I'm the only one on this board ordering from these guys, so be it. But you all are missing out on a very fine seed bank.

we all have our sorces, just some are less reliable, and it`s basically a personal prefference by the person dealing with seed banks

These guys flat out ripped me off. They sent the email but not the beans. They then ignored any of my requests to resolve the issue.

These guys wont be getting my return bussiness.

Of course, llamaman...but eventually, you end up having a problem with ANY of the seed banks, because of the nature of the business. Maybe they don't necessarily rip you off, sometimes money or product gets lost or stolen in the mail, etc. I mean, after hearing nothing but praise for SeedsDirect, I used them. My 2nd order turned into a nightmare, & when I FINALLY got the seeds (relatively expensive ones), only 1 germinated. The quality was for shit (they were probably just old - please, no "did you know what you were doing" queries - yes, I did). I was royally pissed for a while. So would I never order from them again? No - in fact, I have since, and it's been OK.

So, thus far, I've only gotten one negative response (from Marlboroman - who decided to start his own thread & tirade on Hemcy), but haven't heard anybody else comment. If I read similar posts that would point to some consistency as to Hemcy's honesty/integrity (like Emery Seeds), I might believe it. But I'm not convinced just yet, given my own experience, their consistent rating (SOMEBODY'S reporting good things, right?), & just a lack of any info at all about them on the boards. If anyone else has anything to say (positive or negative), please post!

P.S. Another thing that doesn't make sense - why would Hemcy e-mail confirmation of the receipt of your payment, then deliberately NOT send your order? If they made that a habit, wouldn't the news get around pretty damned fast? If they were deliberately trying to fuck you, why acknowledge receipt of your money?

Ya I agree Lady, but what they are doing now is not answering any of my emails and that is what is so annoying.

I do beleive they sent them. I just havent got them and they refuse to discuss anything with me. I dont think they set out trying to fuck me. But never the less, they have.

Since my only recourse is to talk smack about them, thats what im going to do. Mind you tho, I have sent many unanswered emails to them, and have waited a considerable amount of time before I even said anything at all.

When I ordered form them I did a little bit of research and I honestly considered them to be a safe risk, as far as getting ripped off goes.

But to not even answer requests for information about the subject, and not resend anything meanwhile keeping my money is starting to grind on my nerves as I am sure you can understand.

Hey, Marlboro- understand your frustration, I really do. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with them closing up shop as Ubino a couple of years ago, and re-opening as Hemcy, with a new website, new mailing address, etc.

Maybe they started getting the heat, & try to keep as low a profile (i.e. sending out as few e-mails as possible, etc.) as they can. Every message I've gotten from them has been very general and cryptic in nature (for everyone's protection, I think), but it is weird that they would refuse to correspond at all in order to calm a customer's nerves. Language barrier? I doubt it. They now have a location in England, I see. Have you tried calling them? They do have their number posted - I know it's long distance, but if you actually got someone on the phone, it might help.

I guess it all depends on how bent I want to get over a hundred bucks.

Not sure a 15 dollar phone call to england would put me at ease either. In the end it might even piss me off more when they ignore me then as well.

Ya call them talk to Rob he is cool and i ordered from them 3 times and had no problems took a lil while to get here but it did and if u use a paypal account it will be faster

I've been eyeing the OUTSIDER from Hemcy for next year's grow. Does anyone have any experience with this strain?
